At Trinity Church, our mission projects are initiated by members of the congregation. 

There are many opportunities to get involved, from projects within our community to those in distant destinations.

All are invited to join us on these wonderful Outreach opportunities.

We will be ordering $5 meals from local food establishments and distributing them to our community meals guests to-go, every Wednesday at 5:30PM in the parking lot of Trinity Church.


How you can help

Various organizations have committed to monetary donations for these entrees. But, you can't have a meal without servers, water and dessert. We are looking for volunteers to sign up to donate a case of water or 2 dozen individually wrapped desserts and/or stand in the parking lot and deliver the meals to guests in their parked cars. All guidelines of social distancing will be observed.

Since its inception in January 1996 a free, full course meal has been served every Wednesday evening at 6pm to anybody who is in need of a hearty meal. Although the meals are free, a donation box is available for any donations.

The current religious organizations involved are:

  • Trinity Church

  • Church of the Nativity

  • First Parish-Unitarian Universalist

  • St. Bernadette

  • St. Rose of Lima

  • Congregation B’Nai Shalom (Westboro)


Other participating organizations are:

  • The Northborough Junior Women

  • The Northborough Rotary Club

  • The Lion's Club

  • Knights of Columbus

Worcester fellowship


Worcester Fellowship, an outdoor spiritual ministry to the homeless and at-risk community in Worcester.  We at Trinity support this ministry financially and by attending their Sunday service and bringing a meal to share one Sunday a month. (See below for a list of dates).

  • Provide lunches and worship with those who do not have homes.

  • 2022-2023 Dates: To Be Announced

Northborough Interfaith

Clergy Association

Trinity is part of Northborough’s Interfaith Clergy group that meets monthly to pray together, to share resources, and to enjoy friendship with each other. We have representation from Church of the Nativity, First Parish Unitarian-Universalist, St. Bernadette’s, St. Rose of Lima, Trinity Church, Congregation B’nai Shalom in Westborough, and The Church of Latter Day Saints in Marlborough.


Voucher Program: 

The clergy provide vouchers to local vendors for use by those in need. Vouchers are available to Northborough residents or individuals related to one of our congregations.


Recipients may receive free:

  • gasoline (Peterson's),

  • groceries or lunch (Lowe’s),

  • heating oil (Northborough Oil)

  • overnight lodging (Econolodge).

'Count Your Blessings'

The Trinity Church Thrift Shop 

The mission of the The "Count Your Blessings" thrift shop is to offer a place for the people in our community to purchase gently used clothing and accessories at nominal prices while providing some financial support to the church.


The thrift shop sells gently used infant, children, women's and men's clothing, shoes, and accessories, as well as small household items. No electronics please.


Clothing donations can be dropped off in the marked bins in the church hallway. Household donations can be dropped off in the thrift shop during thrift shop hours,

which are Wed, Fri and Sat. 10am - 2pm

Afghan Refugee Project

Trinity Church Outreach Team has spearheaded an effort to form a Northborough Neighborhood Support Team to sponsor a family from Afghanistan.   Under the guidance of the non-profits WelcomeNST and Ascentria Care Alliance, the Northborough NST is sponsoring an Afghan family.  The NST has 22 people who come from across the Northborough community.

ReachOut Worcester: MORE INFO 

Members of Trinity’s youth regularly attend this overnight immersion program to learn more about homelessness in our area.

Matthew 25: MORE INFO

Matthew 25 is a private non-profit corporation located in Worcester, Massachusetts whose mission is to provide food and housing relief to people in need.

Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts:

Trinity sponsors Boy Scout Troop 101, and several Girl Scout troops meet in our building.


GSA Link in a nonprofit organization that seeks to connect, empower, and inspire LGBTQ+ youth.

previous outreach projects 

Loiza, Puerto Rico Mission Trip 

Members of Trinity Church joined the American Baptist Church in Puerto Rico to repair homes that were destroyed from the 2017 hurricanes.

Work consisted of replacing zinc roofs, resealing cement roofs, power wash / cleaning inside and outside homes.

Clendenin, West Virginia Mission Trip 

Outreach went on a work mission trip to Clendenin, WV between Christmas and New Years 2017, to repair flood damaged homes.  This is a follow-up to our trip last year when we repaired the flood damaged First Baptist social hall.
